Microneedling with PRP

Microneedling with PRP, otherwise known as Platelet Rich Plasma, is a cosmetic treatment that uses microneedles to create tiny punctures in the skin’s top layer. The punctures stimulate the body’s natural healing mechanisms to create new collagen and elastin while a PRP serum helps promote healing and rejuvenation. The PRP serum contains a high concentration of platelets, which are full of growth and healing factors. When the platelets are injected or applied topically, they release their contents, creating a surge of collagen and elastin production. This helps smooth wrinkles and plump the skin, as well as boost wound healing. Microneedling with PRP boosts the microneedling benefits and can provide an even more dramatic result. Plus, because the PRP serum is derived from the patient’s own blood, there is no risk of allergic reaction or side effects.

Hair PRP (platelet-rich plasma) is a type of hair restoration treatment used to stimulate hair growth and stop hair loss. The procedure involves taking a sample of a patient’s blood, spinning it in a centrifugal machine to separate out the plasma (which has high concentrations of platelets in it) and then injecting it into the areas of the scalp where there is thinning or loss of hair. Platelets are known to contain growth factors which help promote cell regeneration and the healing process. After the procedure is complete, the patient is given medication to promote circulation in the scalp and stimulate healing. The results of hair PRP usually take between 4-6 months to become visible.
